Teaching Experience
I am working as a full-time tutor and teaching diverse students from grammar, private and state schools including, St Helens,
St. Albans girls’ school, John Lyan, Merchant tailor, haberdashers' school, Parmiter’s, Watford girls, Watford boys Queens school and others.
I have an accurate and deep knowledge of new curriculum of 11+, 13+, GCSE, IGCSE and A-level (exam boards AQA, Edexcel OCR, Eduqas and OCR MEI) which help my students to achieve high grades in exams (please read parents reviews).
My lesson involves deep and thorough knowledge of my subject and relevant homework based on the topic and individual abilities, which help my student to achieve outstanding results, confidence and interest in the subject. I plan lesson which are linked with real-life examples and engaging.
Students take the newly learnt concepts into the school environment and start seeing the results. This helps to increase their confidence and engagement in the lessons. This, as a result, increases their curiosity and interest for the subject. This is vital to maintain their engagement, confidence and interest in Maths and Science.
Every tutee and activity are different so a tailored approach is essential in the teaching.
Teaching approach
I have ability to change my teaching approach and method that suit individual students’ requirements.
I am patient and aspire to remove abstraction in Maths and Sciences through simple and real-life examples.
In lessons, I provide visual and interactive concepts in Maths and Science which help students to establishing their concepts, develop knowledge and build self-confidence.
Plenty of most recent exam practice papers (based on exam board) and techniques are used in the lesson, so that students are well prepared for exams and are confident near the exams.
Homework is set after every lesson related to topic, covered in the lesson as well as previously covered topic to revise and nurture knowledge and understanding.
I mark homework in the lesson and ask students how they obtained the answer to build their communication, understanding of topic and self-confidence.
I explain students’ efficient method to solve questions to manage time-pressure in the exams.
